CAS Newton's Nook Festive Flamingo's with Zig Clean Color and Copic

Hey folks!

I had a lot of fun with non traditional (ish) Christmas cards this year. I prefer the traditional red and green in my own decorating style, but when it comes to cards, it was great to think outside of the box! The cards I'm sharing with you today are case in point.

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

I'm a huge fan of Newton's Nook. I could stamp and color Newton all day long. I was even more excited to get my hands on the Newton's Nook Festive Flamingo's! Pink Flamingo's for Christmas? Yes please!

For the card pictured above and the one below, I stamped my images on Ranger Distress Watercolor Cardstock with Hero Arts Black Ink. I wanted them  clean quick and easy, so I colored them both in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

For this card, I used some of the smaller Images in the Festive Flamingo's Stamp Set and stamped them on a piece of Simon Says Stamp Green Apple Cardstock with the matching Green Apple Ink.

I die cut this Panel with the Stitched Rectangle Die from the Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes. I also die cut the Panel on the first Card with the Simon Says Stamp A2 Card Curved Edge Die as well as a strip of Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink Cardstock.

I wanted to mix it up a bit, so for this Card, I colored these guys with Copic's. You can see the thumbnail links below for my color choices. I used a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle Die to die cut them out of the Panel.

On a strip of Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue Cardstock I used the Lattice Grid Background Stamp and the matching Audrey Blue Ink and added that to the edge of my Neenah White Cardstock Card Base.

To finish off the Cards, I added some Clear Wink of Stella, a couple of Little Things From Lucy's Cards Muted Metallics Sequin Shaker Mix and some DMC Silver Embroidery Thread.

That's it! Easy peasy.

Up next, I will have a set of cards I made using the Simon Says Stamp Holiday Poinsettia Die and the Big Joy Dies. I know that it's too late to get these for Christmas Cards this year peeps, but I'm telling ya they would be great additions to your stash!!

Don't forget about the Simon Says Stamp You Have My Heart Release! Now the time to start thinking about Valentine's Day folks! In the meantime, I hope you enjoyed my cards today!

Until next time!
