Simon Says Stamp March 2016 Card Kit - Favorite Peep + Sneak Peak

Hey folks!

I'm still taking time off, but I did want to stop in and she a couple of really quick cards with you all!

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

I couldn't stand the thought of Easter coming and going and NOT using the Simon Says Stamp Favorite Peeps March 2016 Card Kit. The Card Kit is sold out folks, but you can always purchase everything separately. It is so cute and totally worth having in your stash!

Alrighty, I started by die cutting two Panels of Neenah White Cardstock with one of the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Dies. This gave me an idea where to place my Peeps when I was ready for them.

Then, using the largest Peep Die from the My Kind of Peep Die Set, I die cut two of those from a Scor-Pal Scor-Tape Sheet. I took the backing off both my die cuts and carefully placed them on to my Panel.

I really love Martha Stewart Glitter. There are oodles of glitter options out there, but I dig these because how easy they are to use, the colors are AWE-some and the texture is perfect for almost anything. So, I applied Martha Stewart Lemon Drop Glitter on one and Cotton Candy on the other.

After cleaning up the glitter bomb that had gone off, I stamped a Sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp My Kind of Peep Stamp Set on the Yellow Panel with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and Simon Says Stamp Slate Grey Ink on the Pink Panel.

With StazOn Jet Black Ink, I stamped the lil eyes on both of my Peeps. This worked pretty good given the texture of the Glitter. The trick is, stamp straight down and don't shift the stamp, but if you don't get a solid image, just use a fine tip black marker to make the dots a lil darker.

I thought the Bow Stamp (die cut with the coordinating die) would be super cute so I made one a Bow Tie and one a Hair Bow. Also, I rarely use Pattern Paper, but I'm a sucker for Echo Park, so I die cut two Panels from the Echo Park Spring Paper Pack with the largest Simon Says Stamp Postage Stamp Edge Die.

That's it! The Peeps are so clingy, I didn't add any more embellies.

Here's a sneak of what I'll have on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog tomorrow. This gorgeous Flower is from the Altenew Beautiful Day Stamp Set. I love it so much! I've used it in THIS post, before, but I had a special request to use it again. Be sure to stop by and see me there folks.

I hope you enjoyed my Cards today!

Until next time!
