Beautiful You + Catherine Pooler Inks + Copic Coloring

Hey folks!

Happy Fri-yay! Has anyone else been having crazy weather? We sure have. I say crazy, but honestly there is NOTHING abnormal about a snow storm in May where I live. It's just a total bummer when it does. Ya know, one minute it's "Let's where shorts and plant flowers!" and the next it's "Gah! It's snowing!"

Anywho, I wanted to stop in share some rainbow goodness with you all! Catherine Pooler was very gracious and sent me the Beautiful You Stamp Set by Catherine Pooler Designs. I totally used the bad weather as an excuse to color this darling set. I'm also going to share my thoughts on the Catherine Pooler Inks so keep reading peeps.

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

On a Neenah White Cardstock panel I used a Simon Says Stamp Nested Circle Die and lightly traced a portion of it in the upper left hand corner of the card panel. I did this so I would have an idea of where and what shape I wanted to stamp my images.

Next I stamped all of my images with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and I used the MISTI Stamping Tool. You could totally use a regular stamp block, but (stop me if you've heard this one) I like to use the MISTI because I know can get solid black lines.

As I would stamp a an image I would make a mask for that image with Inkadinkdo Stamping Mask Paper. Sometimes I will stamp all my masks first, but I've found this to be the easiest for me.

At this point I had no idea what direction I was headed with the entire card, but I WAS thinking bright, happy, it's snowing out and I can't stand it colors so I went with pink, orange and yellow. If you're interested in my Copic color choices you can see those in the thumbnail inks below. I decided after I had everything colored in I wanted to make the whole thing a rainbow so ink blending it was.

Now the easier thing would have been to do the ink blending while the masks were already one, theeen color, but I'm a glutton, so I put the masks back on. Starting from darkest color to lightest, top to bottom, I used the Catherine Pooler Inks (see thumbnail links below for color choices) and a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool.

Ok. Catherine Pooler Inks people. I really really enjoyed these inks. I will have some future cards to show you how they stamp and watercoloring, but ink blending? Yes. Please. They blend like butter. Even when you start with a new blending foam and get those marks on your paper it's sooo easy to blend out. They also blend together very nicely. If you get them and use them for a bit of blending, I strongly suggest you get the ink refills as well.
Totally worth checking out folks!

I didn't do anything in terms of embellies, but I did add some Clear Wink of Stella to a few areas on the card and I also took some water on a paint brush and let it drop all over the card. Then I laid a clean, dry paper towel over it to pick up the excess water. Notice that big fat drip spot on the front? Yep. It's the only thing I don't like about this card, but whateva's cleva yo, were sticking with it.

That's it! Easy Peasy.

As always, thanks so much for stoping by to see me and I really hope you enjoyed my card!

Until next time!
