Easy One Layer Card - Wplus9 Winter Pals

Hey folks!

I'm back today to share an easy card layer card with you. I really enjoyed making this card. It's a rare thing that I haven't a clue what my plan is and I enjoy the challenge when it does happen.

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

Also. If you're interested in watching the video on how I made my card you can go HERE. You can also click on the thumbnail link below. If you don't see an image on the video link below, click it anyway, the video is there! I promise!

I've had the Wplus9 Winter Pals Stamp Set in my stash for longer than I care to admit, but a friend of mine shared a card the other day on Instagram and I was reminded of it. I got it out and pondered what in the world I was going to do with it. Ninety percent of the time, I know exactly what I'm going to do, but I was stumped. So I decided that I would pick 2 of my favorite images, stamp them and go from there.

I stamped all of my images with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink on Neenah Solar White Cardstock. I knew that I would be Copic Coloring and this ink is perfect for it.

Before I committed to any coloring, I used the Wplus9 Landscape Border Dies and cut out masks from Simon Says Stamp Masking Paper. You can use whatever works best for you, but I like that I can cut it down to whatever size I need to fit across my panel, plus I love that it has a pretty strong tack.

For the hills, I ink blended Wplus9 Lakehouse Ink with an Ink Dauber. You can use a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool, but I feel I have much more control with an ink dauber.

I did however use the Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tools to do all of the ink blending on the sky. I used Lakehouse, Falling For Blue and Cockleshell Inks. Be sure to check out the video to see how I did all of the ink blending. I have a few tips in there as well

I wanted my bear in brown so I used E31/E33/E35 and E37 for him. I talk about how I colored him in the video. I love red foxes and I wanted that guy to compliment my bear so I used E11/E13/E15 and E19 on him.

My favorite grey Copic's are C00/N1/C3 and C5. I use those in so many ways. On this card, I colored the shadows on the fox and the shadows under the sled and trees.

For the details, I started with a Quickie Glue Pen and traced over the waves in the pond as well as the top of the hills. I then heat embossed those with Hero Arts Sparkling Clear Embossing Powder. For the puffs on the bear's hat, I heat embossed those with a Versamarker and Hero Arts Satin Pearl Embossing Powder.

I added some Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay under the embossing on the hills for a lil more sparkle and shine. I think all things need more sparkle and shine and this looks groovy when it's done.

The sentiment is from the Wplus9 Hand Lettered Holiday Stamp Set and I used Wplus9 Black Ink. I blew it on the "Christmas" and stamped it crooked, but hey what d'ya do?

To finish it all off, I used the small dots in the Wplus9 Biggest Fan Stamp Set and Lawn Fawn Yeti Ink to stamp falling snow allllll over the entire panel.

That's it! Easy peasy.

As always I sure hope you enjoyed my card today, do be sure to check out the video and thanks SO much for stopping by!

Until next time!
